During January we give students (undergraduates and graduate students alike) the opportunity to learn about the Future Circular Collider project [1] at CERN and perform a small research project that can be adjusted to the skill level of the individual.
The four week project can occupy up to 40 hrs per week and will include ten lectures on the foundational experimental background at an appropriate level and five hands-on tutorials to learn the tools of the trade.
At the end of the project, on Friday January 31, there will be a small conference where everybody presents the results of their research in a short presentation (format is 12+3min) and answers to questions from the audience.
A small Project Dinner follows on Friday night.
Remote participation is enabled and encouraged as long as there is a local direct supervisor that can guide people along and committs time to doing direct supervision. Lectures and tutorials will be available life on zoom.
