Lodging and transportation

From the airport

Boston Logan airport (BOS) is located slightly outside the city. From the airport, you can take one of the free shuttles to the nearest subway station (the "T"), located on the blue line. There you can buy individual tickets ($2.40 for subway and bus, $1.70 for bus only), daily passes ($11), and weekly passes ($22.50).

To get to the CMSA, you can take the Silver Line 1 (SL1) bus to South Station, then transfer for the red subway line towards Alewife. The CMSA is located near the Harvard stop.

Lodging

As the CMSA is located on the red subway line, you can consider lodging options located slightly further from Harvard on this line, which tend to also be more affordable.

Transportation

  • Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority: MBTA (bus and subway system in Boston, Cambridge, and nearby towns)
  • Lyft, Uber, taxi
  • Walking: Boston is a safe city for walking and distances are shorter than they appear on maps
