Accommodations
Here are general MIT recommendations for visitors. WE have not been able to find better rates, but if you book please ask for a discount because you are participating in an MIT event.
As MIT is located on the red subway line (Kendall/MIT stop), considering options along that line even slightly further from MIT makes sense and should in general be more affordable.
From the airport
Boston Logan airport (BOS) is located slightly outside the city. From the airport, you can take one of the free shuttles to the nearest subway station (the "T"), located on the blue line. There you can buy individual tickets, daily passes, and weekly passes.
To get to MIT, you can take the Silver Line 1 (SL1) bus to South Station, then transfer for the red subway line towards Alewife and exit at 'Kendall/MIT'. The walk to the conference location is just a few minutes.
